#1 conversion agency joins forces with #1 Thai boxer

Ascensor are joining forces with Thai boxer Joe Craven to support his career and help him champion young people’s fitness and mental health in Leeds.

We’re proud to be partnering with the British number one and world number five Muay Thai fighter as he bids to reach to the top of his sport, as well as helping kids in the community channel their energy in positive ways.

Joe, 25, is the current European middleweight champion and fights out of the renowned Bad Company Gym in the Harehills area of Leeds.

A great new partnership

We know all about conversions, it’s what we do. For us, it means helping our clients maximise sales and leads online.

For Joe conversion is also a key ingredient, as he’s been the British number one-ranked fighter for the last seven years, with a string of impressive wins under his belt.

Like us, he’s got aspirations to achieve global success as well as making a difference in his own community.

Joe’s a natural talent and he’s put himself to the test on some of the biggest stages his sport has to offer, carving a path to international stardom with an unmatched work ethic, determination and a real focus on results.

His approach mirrors Ascensor’s core values and we’re truly thrilled to be in his corner.

Our support for Joe is not just financial - we’re also going to be supporting him online, with our experts helping to raise his social media profile and working with him on a new website project.

A community champion

Halifax-born Joe started training at his local Muay Thai club when he was just four. After a highly successful junior career he spent time training and fighting in Thailand before moving to Leeds to train, teach and fight with Bad Company, combining his time at the gym with studying sports coaching at Leeds Beckett University.

For those that don’t know, Muay Thai is a martial art that allows stand-up striking from fists, elbows, knees and shins, along with various clinching techniques.

The team at Bad Company are internationally recognised as some of the best fighters and trainers in the sport, but as well as focusing on world-class performance in the ring they also run regular Muay Thai classes teaching local children self-defence and discipline.

Did you know?

Regular exercise can have a huge impact on young people’s mental health and wellbeing - reducing symptoms of depression, stress and anxiety, improving self-esteem and body image, boosting academic performance and increasing sleep quality.

Joe’s classes at Bad Company keep scores of young people fit and healthy as well as developing confidence and good mental health.

His coaching also provides a focal point for youngsters who might otherwise find themselves involved in anti-social behaviour, keeping them off the streets and helping them make good decisions.

Joe said: It’s so great to have the support of a company whose values are aligned with mine.

“Like Ascensor, my aim over the next few years is to get to the top of my field and give something back along the way.”

Our journey

In the last 15 years Ascensor has evolved into an award-winning, conversion-focused integrated digital marketing agency, with a team of more than 35 specialists based close to Elland Road.

In fact our strong links to Leeds United are another reason the collaboration is such a great fit - Joe’s also a huge fan of The Whites!

Founder Andy Firth said: “We’re super excited to be part of this partnership, helping Joe to raise his profile and get the message out about young people’s mental health.”
